Donations from this fundraiser will be used to stock the UVA Community Food Pantry, which serves both UVA students and staff. The main pantry location sits within the Student Activities Center (1st floor of Newcomb Hall, Room #144). In March of 2020, a survey conducted by the UVA Office of Health Promotion found that a third of students in the sample "had experienced some form of food insecurity in the last 30 days."
